What I Wore/Ate/Read/Watched in June
Allow me to introduce you to the best wedgie-proof bodysuit you’ll ever put on your body
June was the month of GOOD FOOD! Tried so many new things that are now my obsessions—and being the generous food influencer that I am (my side hustle), I added my top recs below. Can’t wait for you to try.
As for the rest of June…
What I Wore
I may or may not have influenced myself if with my National Splurge Day post and finally pulled the trigger on a Khaite bag I’ve been eyeing. Worth it.
I’ve been living in this grey bodysuit, and can confirm, it’s wearable ALL DAY. No constant adjusting or thinking you made a terrible decision an hour after you put it on. This one is so comfortable, I just ordered white and black too.
Also obsessed with this under $200 skirt I wore a few times last month—it can be styled so many ways.
What I Ate
Starting off strong with a female founded rec… A new challah fave from Linny’s Loaves.
My sis told me to try the Trader Joe's Kimbap and it does not DISAPPOINT. Hot tip: it’s an easy freezer item and quick lunch in a pinch.
My friend from @sweetobsessionsHP went to the sweets and snacks show in Indy this year (so sad I couldn't make it) and then brought home a huge bag of goodies and the first thing I tried were these lemonade UTZ chips. YUM!
As far as restaurants go…
Went to Vegas and had a great meal at Cipriani in the Wynn. My brother-in-law always gets the curry dish and I get jealous, so this time I got it myself and it was amazing. It's not on the menu—it’s a secret, I guess, so ask for it!
The girls have a tradition they love of eating at RL the night before camp. Of course, it's a fave of Jonathan's and mine so we are happy to continue the tradition. After the girls leave, we get to see our friends who fly in to take their kids to camp and seeing my best friend Ally (Sadie Pearl & Teddi Paige's mom, Allison!) is always the highlight. We did Gilt Bar & Zarella with them and OMG yum to both.
What I Read
June was also a good book month. Four back-to-back five-star reads?? Couldn’t ask for anything better. Highly recommend adding these ones to your list.
What I Watched
In case you missed it, Poppy & Lulu were off to Camp Agawak in June, which meant I spent a lot of the beginning of the month packing for the girls. I was at home a lot, but no new shows! I was too busy packing THE giant duffle bags… IYKYK.
What else?
My parents recently moved to the city and it's so fun having them a few blocks away. We spent Father's Day at Shaws Crabhouse. (Izzy had his first beer back—"Sir, would you like a beer back?” Izzy: "I don't know what the hell that is but sure.")
I was also so lucky to be invited to my friend’s house for an incredibly special women's dinner and Amanda Skrip from @nowboardingfoods was the chef and I am still talking about the incredible food, the company and the entire evening.
Here’s to a new month (how is it already July?).
xx Dana
