7 Pieces That are 100% Worth the Splurge
It’s called price-per-wear and it’s a real thing, okay?
I love a good Amazon or Target purchase as much as the next girl, but some things in my opinion are worth saving up for and treating yourself to. And in the spirit of National Splurge Day—because yes, that’s a real thing and I’m here for it—I’ve been thinking on my splurge-worthy purchases. For me, the pieces that fall into that category usually follow at least one of these conditions: 1) it’s something that can be passed down to future generations, 2) it’s something I’ll get TONS of wear out of, or 3) it’s to celebrate a special occasion (or wear to a special occasion!).
If you’ve gotten a glimpse of my closet, it’s no secret that those things are usually jewelry, bags, or shoes in my case—and I wouldn’t have it any other way. I love an accessory, what can I say. Here are the exact pieces I’ve worn that I think are worth every penny (and a few that are on my wishlist!).
1. DRD 1.00 Ct. Emerald Cut Diamond Solitaire Paperclip Necklace

A solitaire diamond necklace is a no-brainer, IMO, but this one feels extra special with the emerald cut diamond. The paperclip chain is so chic and makes it a piece that really stands out alone or in a stack.
2. Miu Miu IVY Crochet Tote Bag
I can’t describe to you how much I LOVE this bag. She’s perfect for elevating simple summer outfits and comes with a removable interior pouch, too. The texture, the shoulder drop… everything is perfect!
3. TOTEME Lizard-Effect Leather Slingback Pumps
So, I don’t have these pumps (yet), but I wish I did… I’m thinking about adding them to my closet. Literally the perfect heel height, neutral-yet-not color, and the shape looks so flattering.
4. DRD 6.00 Ct. Total Weight Tennis Bracelet

This 4.00 carat tennis bracelet is such a stunner, while still being the perfect everyday size. (Poppy and Lu would agree, they always bee-line to the tennis pieces in the showroom… I wonder why.)
5. ALAÏA or KHAITE Crossbody Bag
Every girl needs a really great crossbody in her closet and I’m debating between these two—one of my fave purchases ever was my Row banana bag (now sold out) and I’m hoping one of these can measure up. I saw the Khaite bag on my friend Jacq Gould and love it. But the details on the Alaïa bag are so good. Maybe you can weigh in and tell me which I should get.
6. Prada Mariner Re-Nylon Shoulder Bag
For a bag on the larger side, I’ve had my eye on this one. It’s so chic and the rope/nylon material combo is calling to me.
7. DRD 8.00 Ct. Total Weight Tennis Bracelet

She’s been on loan for me but she’s NEW on the website and I’m obsessed! A classic tennis bracelet is basically the definition of an heirloom piece, if you ask me. Btw, I know everyone’s “splurge” budget is different, but I stand by this logic for ANY tennis piece! Browse our entire tennis collection here, starting at $2,395.
What’s on your splurge list? I may just have to add some of your recommendations to my own closet…
