What I Wore/Ate/Read/Watched in February
The bag I carried all over Paris, my latest 4-star read, my go-to Sweetgreen order…
What I Wore
This slouchy bag from The Row and Mes Demoiselles vest combo was a favorite. Cozy, casual, and this bag fits everything—truly, it was the bag that got me through Paris. I always say I love some purchases so much I could write a haiku or poem about them, and my Banana Bag from The Row was one of those instant-favorite, haiku-worthy purchases. I hadn’t been using it for a little bit, but in February I picked it back up! I have a major love for this bag.
BTW, my current hyperfixation is my Paris trip in general; putting together a full recap for you coming next week!
It was also a month of MORE COLOR following my color analysis with Àme Color Studio. I really tried to embrace her recommendations and have truly had so much fun adding my complementary spring palette to my wardrobe.

Aaaand I fell in LOVE with this Bottega Veneta bag this month—another one I carried all over Paris with me. That knot detail? Very à la Nana Bernice, in my opinion.
As far as jewelry goes, two new favorites made it into my rotation this month—the new Teddi Paige Reversible U Hoops and Poppy Rae Graduating Pebble Disc Station Necklace (both launching TOMORROW!). They are so, so good. Give me a reversible hoop any day of the week. So fun for styling so you can switch it up depending on the outfit, the day, the mood, anything.
What I Ate
I mean, let’s be honest, nothing topped my Paris eats this month. I walk through some of my favorite recs below, but here is a quick list of must-eats to screenshot!
· Le Pain Retrouvé – Our favorite bakery in Paris. Not exaggerating, I have sent dozens of people here when they ask for recommendations.
· Laura Todd – The pistachio cookie was YUM.
· Le Petit Lutetia – For lunch, wine, and crème brûlée! Lu said she “didn’t like it” but… that video below tells another story.
· Kapara – For dinner. Loved ending our day this way!
What I Read
I finished Wellness by Nathan Hill (4 stars for me), The Three Lives of Cate Kay by Kate Fagan (for our DRD book club), and currently reading Don’t Forget to Write by Sarah Goodman Confino. Rating TBD!
What I Watched & Listened To
I’ve been absolutely hooked on the show Paradise on Hulu. Have you watched?!

And if you see me with my headphones on, I’m probably listening to the Acquired Podcast. It’s the business-owner in me. Season 12, Ep 2 was fascinating—The Complete History & Strategy of LVMH.
What Else?
I am a creature of habit, and as I was reflecting back on this month, you could say I noticed some… patterns. These are non-negotiables for me!
1. Sweetgreen order: Chicken Pesto Parm, sub spinach for chopped romaine. Instead of hot sauce I use Balsamic from Trader Joes—my fave.
2. Cocktail of choice: Hendricks on the rocks with a splash of tonic and lots of limes.
3. Nail polish color: Baby pink, creamy white or orange-red.
4. Breakfast: Two sunny side up eggs and my favorite cauliflower hashbrowns by Strong Roots.
5. Earrings: Poppy Rae Pebble Hoops, always!
6. Nighttime routine products: Jan Marini 100%. Everything, always for 18 years.
7. Makeup products: CC cream, Kosas concealer, Rhodes blush, Boy De Chanel eyeliner.
8. Specific Pencil/Pen: MY ERASABLE PENS ONLY. Pilot Frixion erasable pens, to be exact.
9. Dessert: Something dark chocolate or a sour gummy usually, but honestly, I’m probably most flexible in this category. If it’s sweet, I’ll take it.
10. Coffee: Moccamaster coffee maker with Metric coffee ONLY, with some Chobani vanilla creamer. This is my happy place.
11. Daily indulgence: Diet Coke around 3-4 pm.
12. Sleep routine: Two FlavCity Lights Out Sleep Support gummies. Non-negotiable!
13. Dinner (if I make it… IYKYK): Cauliflower pizza or deconstructed egg roll bowls… Two trick pony.
See you right back here next month!
xx Dana
Looking forward to your Paris recap! Headed there next month and hope to eat at some of the same spots. 🥐
