Female-Founded Brands I’m Loving Right Now
There are so many to love… but I’ve been obsessing over these 5 lately
As someone with her own female-founded business, I LOVE finding other female-led businesses to try out and support—and TBH, even if I didn’t have my own business, I would still love doing it. I truly believe there is no force more powerful than women, especially when we join together and lift each other up! We’ve had a lot of fun with Women’s History Month and International Women’s Day in the DRD showroom during the month of March, and I wanted to share my top five favorite female-founded brands as of late to keep the love going.
Favorite Daughter
This belt from Favorite Daughter has been on heavy rotation in my wardrobe. The hardware is gorgeous and with a price tag under $100, it looks way more expensive than it is! I’ve also been loving their satin pieces—such a good dressy-without-being-uncomfy option and their colors and patterns are everything. And, of course, their DENIM. We love a cuffed jean like these ones I wore from the brand, and I can also vouch for their denim skirts too. Just so many good pieces, founded by real-life sisters Sara Foster & Erin Foster.

Small Wonder
Three words: POWDER-TO-LATHER. I know, this product from Small Wonder seems like magic and it honestly, it kind of is. I bought their Signature Shampoo & Conditioner Set and I love! It’s made with great, concentrated ingredients (no fillers and never diluted with water) and all of their products are also color-enhancing, cruelty-free, paraben-free, and sulfate-free. You can also just order powder refills to avoid waste. It’s genius and makes my hair feel AMAZE. Needless to say, I love their product and their mission.
Violet Flame Chocolate
Delicious chocolate like Violet Flame really needs no explanation, but you know I’ll give you one anyway. I’ve been known to try some heinous candy creations (I’ve probably tried at least a dozen flavors of Reese’s and Kit Kats at this point), but Violet Flame is in a totally different league. Founded by Katrina Markoff, this brand is seriously LUXE and decadent—perfect for gifting or to celebrate any wins. Their ingredients are sourced from organic, biodynamic farms and their whole mission is about creating rituals around tasting chocolate, a moment of pause. They even have a Chocolate Subscription Club, which frankly, is a great idea.
LAV Dressing
I don’t know why I’ve never thought of this, but single serve dressings that are actually good for you and aren’t from a fast-food restaurant?! It’s a no-brainer. LAV dressings are made with avocado oil, olive oil, and Armenian-inspired ingredients, plus they’re gluten-free and dairy-free for anyone with sensitivities. The brand was founded by Natalie, a 20-year-old (!!) Armenian-American. I’m a huge fan of her Za’atar Vinaigrette, described as “a tangy yet sweet balsamic base, with hints of za’atar spice and subtle sumac.” So delish.
FARE
Couldn’t forget a Chicago-based favorite… We had FARE cater our International Women’s Day event at our Chicago showroom and I’m a fan for life. Everything is made with real whole-food ingredients from scratch and NO preservatives, refined sugars, questionable cooking oils or processed ingredients. The fresh fare speaks for itself!
If you have any female-founded favorites you’re dying to share, drop them below! Can’t wait to try.
